Barbara VanSnick
June 27, 1939 - May 10, 2014
The death of Barbara Jean (Lamy) VanSnick age 74 occurred peacefully on May 10, 2014 at the North Cumberland Regional Hospital, Pugwash, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Amherst she was the daughter of the late A.R. “Rob” and Pauline “Polly” (Hill) Lamy.
Barb graduated from MT. Allison University in 1960. She enjoyed golf, curling, bridge, painting and backgammon. She was also a past member of Amherst Golf Club and Curling Club.
She is survived by her two sons Rick (Jennifer) and Ryon of Amherst; sister Eleanor Ann (Bob)Nahrgang of Charlottetown, PEI; three grandchildren whom she cherished Alyson and Alex VanSnick of Amherst, Stephanie Allard of Toronto, ON and several nieces and nephews.
Barb was predeceased by her sister Sandra Latta.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Christ Church with Archdeacon Glenn Eason officiating.
Donations in Barb’s memory may be made to the VON, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home (902-667-9906).
