<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Francis Bennett age 66 of Amherst on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at his home. <br> <br>Born in Amherst, Brian was a son of the late Michael F. and Marguerite (Porelle) Bennett. <br> <br>Brian was a welder by trade for 30 years and last working out of Iron Worker Local 764. He was musically talented and loved playing the guitar and spoons. <br> <br>He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br: 10, Amherst. <br> <br>In his younger years Brian enjoyed dancing, playing darts, boxing and will be remembered for his grandeur and presence. <br> <br> <br> <br>Brian will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy (Carter) Bennett; son Richard (Cheryl Landry), and Daughter Kim Bennett (Jean-Marc) both of Moncton, NB; grandsons, Kiley Lori,(Buck Jones) and Matthew Kierstead both of Moncton NB and granddaughter, Morgan Bennett (Blake), Calgary AB; six great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Anne White, Amherst and Sharon Rayworth, Calgary AB; extended family. <br> <br>In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by his first wife, Gwen (Harrison) Bennett; brother, Gary; sister, Debbie Bennett (Esser). <br> <br>A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 followed by a Celebration of Life held at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906). Interment to follow in the Amherst Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. <br> <br>Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the L.A.
