Alex Droesbeck age 76 of Amherst announce his passing on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, NS. <br> <br>Born in Chignecto, NS he was a son of Helen (Wood) Droesbeck of River Hebert and the late Roger Droesbeck. <br> <br>Alex was employed with Robb Engineering for 33 years. He had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and spending time at his camp in Shulie. Alex enjoyed spending his mornings with his coffee buddies at Tim Hortons. <br> <br>He was a 50 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 4 Joggins. Alex annually participated in the Amherst Relay For Life. <br> <br>He will be sadly missed by his wife of 31 years Loisanne (Cormier), his children Claudette (Nelson) Rogers of Truro, Shelley (Russell) Tower of Bass River, Shelia (Gilbert) Droesbeck-Lewis of Dartmouth, Karen (Rick) Farrell and Rae Alan Smith both of Amherst, grandchildren Melanie, Natalie, Nathan, Nicole, Hannah, Jenna and Jordon, great grandchildren Sophia, Anderson and William, sister Gloria (Barry) Dwyer of River Hebert, brothers Stewart (Carol Ann) Droesbeck of Salisbury, Verden (Gloria) Droesbeck of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 4 tribute service at 10:30 all at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906). <br> <br>Rev.
