<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Eleanor Dunlop age 86 of Maccan on Friday morning, November 25, 2016 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, surrounded by her loving family. <br> <br>Born February 28, 1930 in Maccan she was a daughter of the late Bert and Mary “Mame” (Matheson) Dunlop. <br> <br>Dorothy worked at the Sifto Salt Plant for many years. She enjoyed crocheting her famous ponchos, quilting, sewing, baking and knitting. <br> <br>Her favourite time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. <br> <br>She will be lovingly remembered by her partner, Cecil “Pooey” Hoeg and his family; her daughters, Shelley Brown, River Hebert and Belinda (Gary) Dunlop-Hynes, Sackville, NB; grandchildren, Kelsey (Nathan) Boekelheide, Airdrie, AB, Amelia Gouchie, Vancouver, BC, and Natasha Gouchie, Amherst; great granddaughter, Jordyn Boekelheide; siblings, Jim (Vickie), Don (late Alice), Doug (Sheryl), Jerry (Sandra), Alfred (Brenda), Larry (Helen), and Marion (Larry) Collins all of Ontario, Gerald (Jean) of Riverview, NB; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. <br> <br>In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Earl Matthew; brothers, Bob and Lester. <br> <br>A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 29 from 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. all from Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906) with Rev. Don Miller officiating. Reception to follow. A private interment will take place at a later date in the Maccan Cemetery. <br> <br>In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to a local charity, such as Salvation Army, Cumberland Regional Health Care Palliative Care Unit or the Amherst Lion’s Club etc. <br> <br>Online condolences & sharing of memories may be forwarded via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page. <br> <br></div>
