<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Fredrick Marks on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the VG in Halifax at the age of 57. <br> <br>Born on June 1, 1959, he was the son of the late Ronald and Margaret (Dwyer) Marks. <br> <br>Douglas grew up in Amherst, Nova Scotia. <br> <br>Dougie was an avid fisherman, hunter, card player and golfer. He had a love for hanging out with his friends and family and his most recent prized possession his granddaughter Sophie. <br> <br>Doug will be sadly missed by his wife of 37 years Rita (Noiles), son Glenn daughter in law Melissa and granddaughter Sophie; brother Darrel White; sister Dana White; father in-law Ed Noiles; brothers in-law Gary (Linda) Noiles, Mike (Juanita) Noiles; sisters in-law Cathy (Gary) Sealy, Sue McLeod (Lee Ripley) and many nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends. <br> <br>He was predeceased by his parents, brother in-law Wayne McLeod and mother in-law Dorothy Noiles. <br> <br>Visitations will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, 902- 667-9906. <br> <br>A service to Celebrate the Life of Doug will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10 a.m. from First Baptist Church, Amherst with Rev.
