<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eileen Patricia Paris age 76 on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the QEII Health Science Centre, Infirmary Site, Halifax, NS.<br /><br />Born in Springhill, NS on January 26, 1940, Eileen was a daughter of the late George F. and Lillian E. (Clark) Powell.<br /><br />Eileen will be remembered for her strong willed personality that was especially evident during her last few days. <br /><br />She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br# 10, Amherst as well as the R.C.A.F. club in Amherst.<br /><br />Eileen leaves behind to mourn her children, Lucy Ann (John), Louise (Bruce), Lynn (Carvel), Jack, Bobby, Heidi, and Laura Lee (Keith); step-children, Todd and Julie (Jim); many grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; sister, Doris (Raymond) Lees; special friend, Bertha Richard; as well as many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.<br /><br />In addition to her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2011; son, Wilbert in infancy; brothers, George and Walter.<br /><br />Cremation has taken place.<br /><br />A celebration of Life and sharing of memories will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2016 between 2:00 &ndash; 4:00 p.m. at Campbell&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906).<br /><br />Eileen&rsquo;s remains will be laid to rest beside her husband, Don at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery.<br /><br />In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eileen&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Nova Scotia Diabetic Assocoation.<br /><br />Online condolences and sharing of memories may be forwarded to her family via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting our Facebook page. <br /><br /></div>
