<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth “Betty” Thelma Estabrooks age 79 of Amherst announce her passing on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. <br> <br>Born in Wentworth, NS, she was a daughter of the late William and Georgie (Weatherbee) Little. <br> <br>In mom’s earlier years she was a telephone operator, later working at the Pants Factory and Playtex. <br> <br>Mom loved her cats, Blue and Tubby. She enjoyed her plants, flowers, decorating for every occasion and baking. Her home was always open to everyone and everybody. She loved spending time with her family and friends. <br> <br>She will be deeply missed by her husband of 60 years, Ivan; daughters Debbie (Bill) Burke; Sherry (Dave); sons David (Beth) and Gary (Shelly); 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters Claudia, Faye, Janice (Dave) and Bona (Gilbert); brothers Sherman (Judy), Wyman, Raymond and Cyril and several nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Elizabeth was predeceased by sisters Shirley and Margaret; brothers Warren, Percy and Paul. <br> <br>Funeral service will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 at 1 pm at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst 902-667-9906, with Rev. Donnie Miller officiating. <br> <br>Interment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, L. A.
