<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that the family of George Aubrey Forrest age 79 of Amherst announce his peaceful passing on Monday, February 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center. <br> <br>Born in Amherst Point, NS, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Alice (Collicutt) Forrest. <br> <br>George loved spending time with his family at the cottage, he also loved camping, fishing, 4 wheeling, and boating with his family. He had a passion for hunting with his best buddies each fall. George had a love for restoring vehicles and would spend hours working on projects in his garage. He spent his career in Plumbing Heating and Electrical. <br> <br>George will be fondly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Carol (Salter); daughters Shelley, Kimberley Hawkes (Ross Robinson), Crystal (Patrick) Farrell and Stephanie; grandchildren Terri, Dylan, Samantha, Kyle, Bradley and Nicole; great grandson Carter; sisters Mona (Ronald) McKinley and Dora Craig and several nieces and nephews. <br> <br>He will also be dearly missed by his close friends. <br> <br>Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his sister Betty (Donald) Denier. <br> <br>Following George’s wishes cremation has taken place and private graveside service will be held in the spring in the Amherst Cemetery. <br> <br>Donations can be made in George’s memory to the charity of your choice. <br> <br>Condolences and sharing of memories may be shared with the family via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting the Funeral Home Facebook page. <br> <br></div>
