Inga Geraldine (Beal) White, 96, of Amherst passed away peacefully on November 4, 2016 at Gables Lodge. <br> <br>Born on August 9, 1920, in Midgic NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Luella (Estabrooks) Beal. <br> <br>She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, survived by her daughter, Betty (Peter) Ripley of Amherst, grandchildren, Carl (Stephanie) Ripley of Moncton NB, Jennifer “Jay” (Mike) Miller of Amherst, Allison (Gerald) VandeWiel, Angela Cooke, both of Amherst, and Amy Layne (David) Duizer of Victoria BC; great grandchildren, Riley White, Gracie Cooke, Madden and Elliot Miller, Andrew and Claire Ripley, Jagger and Bo VandeWiel and True Duizer and daughter-in-law Deby White. <br>Sisters, Cynthia Richards, Daphna Day; brothers, Abner (Ruby), Raymond (Heather), and Harry (Loretta); sister-in-laws, Mary (Donald) Ripley, Rose and Hazel Beal. <br> <br>She was predeceased by her loving husband Garnet, special son Wayne “Bugsy”, infant daughter Carol Ann, sister Alberta Ibbitson, brothers, Earl, Hollis, Hyle, Donald, Lloyd, John, Harold and Leaman. <br> <br>Inga was a member of the First Baptist Church, LTBA Lodge, Saint John Ambulance Brigade, and YsMennettes. She worked for many years at Canada Car and the Goodwins Super Market. Inga was also well known and respected as the Manager of the ladies clothing store, Sally Shop for many years. <br>Inga will be remembered by many for her singing and yodeling, dancing, sense of humour mischievous ways, and gardening talents. <br>She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and friend who gave of herself with her wonderful baking, knitting, quilting skills and most important, her love. <br> <br>Special thanks to the staff of Gables Lodge who she referred to as “little birds,” for their gifts of love, compassion and care. <br> <br>Visitation will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 from 7- 9 p.m. at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, 902-667-9906. <br> <br>Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Amherst, with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. <br> <br>Interment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery. <br> <br>Family flowers only.
