<div itemprop="description">The death of James Estabrooks age 58 occurred following a brief illness on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, while surrounded by loved ones.<br /><br />Born in Amherst, James was a son of the late Norman and Margaret (Marks) Estabrooks. <br /><br />James will be sadly missed by his only daughter, Krystle (Kim) Oxford; step sons, Jeremy Rafuse, Moncton, Chad Estabrooks, Amherst; sisters, Valinda (Raymond) Stewart and Tessa Estabrooks, Amherst; brother, Robert (Charlene), Amherst; children&rsquo;s mother, Lorna Rafuse, Amherst; as well as many close aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and grandchildren and great granddaughter.<br /><br />In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by brother, John Estabrooks; uncle, Arthur Marks; and nephew, Daniel Estabrooks. <br /><br />James was an avid collector of hockey memorabilia and loved to watch NHL and Amherst Jr. Rambler games. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. His kind and gentle nature will be missed by his family and friends.<br /><br />Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell&rsquo;s Funeral Home, Amherst (902-667-9906)<br /><br />A memorial service to celebrate James life will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from Faith United Pentecostal Church, Amherst with Pastor Jonathan Cole presiding.<br /><br />Memorial contributions in James memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice. <br /><br />Online condolences &amp; sharing of memories may be forwarded via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting our Facebook page.<br /><br /></div>
