<div itemprop="description">Jackson, Brian Age 62. <br /> <br />It is with heavy hearts, Brian's family announce his peaceful passing on December 23, 2014. <br /> <br />Born in Halifax, NS on June 25, 1952, he was the son of the Late Eugene and Catherine (Ferguson) Jackson. Brian was also predeceased by his brother Donald of Dartmouth, NS. <br /> <br />Brian lived with his family in Halifax, Great Village and Warren. In 1981, he joined his second family at the Rupert House in Amherst. Brian worked at the Bridge Adult Service Centre and was a Special Olympics athlete winning numerous awards. <br /> <br />As Brian's Alzheimer symptoms progressed, he left his home of 32 years and moved to the Northwood's Ivany Place in Bedford, NS. Brian quickly made his presence known and had a smile for all. <br /> <br />Brian is survived by his sister Karen Smits, Lower Sackville, NS; brothers Wayne (Betty) Dundas, ON and Dennis (Cheryl) Delta BC; niece Trisha and nephew Nathan. <br /> <br />Brian's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the Ivany Place and a Special Thank You to his care staff. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service at this time.
