Kevin Legere
February 12, 1960 - February 21, 2015
Kevin Patrick Legere of Amherst, NS, found peace on February 21, 2015.
Born February 12, 1960 to parents Edgar and Jolene (Fowler) Legere.
Kevin's passions in life were music, motorcycles, cars and the sunny south. Kevin retired from the NS Geomatics Centre 5 years ago after 30 dedicated years. In his retirement Kevin got the itch to travel. He enjoyed cruises and renovating his little piece of paradise in Orlando. Kevin loved to tinker in his garage and to help care for his grandchildren and the many other little ones who came to be babysat by his wife Janice. Kevin was a jack of all trades helping family and friends with mechanics, body work, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
Kevin always enjoyed his many pets throughout his lifetime, most recently being Ella and Bella.
Besides his parents, Kevin is survived by his beloved wife Janice (Turner) and daughters Janelle (Mark) and Jill (Geoff) both of Amherst. Grandchildren Carter, Sophie, Sawyer and Piper. Sisters Patti and Karen (Craig) and Brother John (Amanda). And many cousins, aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. (902-667-9906)
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date.
