Laura -Lynne Taylor, 63, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Amherst, N.S., after a courageous battle with cancer.

Laura-Lynne was the daughter of the late Colin & Lynne Taylor. She was born in Bathurst, NB where she started her education. Later her schooling continued in Amherst and Dartmouth.

Laura-Lynne had many loves - her son, Colin, her parents, the outdoors, exercise and her wonderful cats. She wanted to be like the famous Canadian figure skater Barbara Ann Scott, and in her early years spent many hours zooming over the ice at the old Bathurst Arena.

Laura-Lynne is survived by Colin (Winnipeg) and brothers, Clive (Betty, Bathurst) and Brent (Monique, Lower Coverdale, NB)

The family would like to thank the outstanding nurses and staff at the palliative care unit at the health care centre, and our sincere thanks to her special lifelong friend, Phyllis Sloan, for all her support and caring over the years and especially during her last couple of months at the health care center.

Funeral arrangements are being taken care of by Campbell’s Funeral Home in Amherst. As per Laura-Lynne wishes, there will be no services.

It would be appreciated that any donations, in Laura-Lynne’s memory, be sent to the charity or foundation of your choice.

Online condolences & sharing of memories may be forwarded to the family via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page.
