<div itemprop="description">Marilyn Joyce Dowe, 68 of Amherst gently slipped away to be with her dear mother on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, surrounded by her loving family. <br> <br>Born in Amherst, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Joyce (Ogles) Dowe-Michniak and Horace Dowe. <br> <br>In her earlier years, Marilyn lived her life to the fullest, travelling across Canada and working in many different trades along the way. <br> <br>In her later life, Marilyn moved home to look after her mother, grandmother and reconnected with her family. <br> <br>She enjoyed politics, reading and a good game of scrabble. <br> <br>Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her brother, David (Mary) Dowe; niece, Shelley (Brian) Dowe; nephew, Kevin (Dawn) Dowe; great-niece, Jessica (Mario) MacDonald and great-nephew, Brenden (Taylor) MacCallum; special cousin, Darren (Tanya) Ogles as well as her special fury companions, Rusty the cat and Bobby the dog. <br> <br>In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her biological father, Charles Michniak; brother Gregory Michniak. <br> <br>As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. <br> <br>Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst (902) 667-9906. <br> <br>Memorial contributions in Marilyn’s memory may be made to the LA Animal Shelter or charity of your choice. <br> <br>Online condolences & sharing of memories may be forwarded via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting our Facebook page. <br> <br></div>
