(Mills) Blandford, 88, of New Glasgow, formerly of Amherst, NS, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. <br /> <br />Born in Springhill, NS, she was the daughter of the late Eddie O. and Agnes (Murray) Mills. <br /> <br />Marion attended Maritime Business College in New Glasgow. She was employed for a number of years by the Interprovincial School for the Deaf in Amherst, as well as the Department of Education, and the Department of Transportation. She was a member of the Lorneville United Church UCW, the Amherst Y Service Club, and was a volunteer for the VON in Amherst. <br /> <br />Marion is survived by son Bruce (Ron Atkinson), Toronto, ON; daughters Anne (JoAnne Burns), New Glasgow; Lynn, New Glasgow; Joyce (Paul Millman), Truro; and her beloved grandchildren Peter (Lethbridge, AB) and Sarah (Toronto, ON) Millman. Marion was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, R. Austin, her brother John Mills, and her parents. <br /> <br />Cremation has taken place. <br /> <br />Her family will receive visitors at Campbell&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 98 Church Street, Amherst on Monday, November 16th from 12:00 &ndash; 2:00 pm. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm from Campbell&rsquo;s Chapel with Rev. Ruth Gamble officiating. Interment will take place in Lorneville Cemetery. <br /> <br />Family flowers only.
