<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that the family of, Sherri Ann Thompson, age 62, announce her sudden passing on February 27, 2016 at the Moncton City Hospital. <br /><br />Born in Amherst, NS on August 15, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Leslie &amp; Edith (McLeod) Ayer.<br /><br />Sherri and husband Doug have been long time owners of King Pin Bowling located in Amherst, NS. Sherri was also an employee of Amherst CIBC.<br /><br />Her greatest love in life was spending time with family and friends at her Amherst Shore cottage. She was a spectacular hostess making everyone feel welcome and comfortable in her home.<br /><br />Sherri&rsquo;s well known flare for decorating brought her great joy and was appreciated by many. <br /><br />Sherri is survived by her husband, Doug Thompson, loving mother of two sons, Troy (Lynn O&rsquo;Laney) of Sidney, BC, and Dougie of Amherst, NS, three sisters, Nadine (Brian) Brooks of Dartmouth, NS, Jane (David) Crocker of Amherst, NS, Trudy (Paul) Black of Quispamsis, NB, and brother Perry (Sharron) Ayer of Middle Sackville, NS, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and special friends.<br /><br />A gathering for family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 2 &ndash; 4 p.m. in the vestry of the First Baptist Church, Amherst. <br /><br />Following with Sherri&rsquo;s wishes, cremation has taken place and the interment will take place in the spring in the Amherst Cemetery.<br /><br />If desired, donations may be made in Sherri&rsquo;s memory to Cumberland Regional Health Care Foundation or to the charity of your choice. <br /><br />Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell&rsquo;s Funeral Home, (98 Church St, Amherst 902-667-9906).<br /><br />Condolences and sharing of memories may be made to the family via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting our Facebook page.<br /><br /><br /><br /></div>
