<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Kinnear of Brookdale on October 2, 2016 at All Saints Hospital, Springhill, NS. <br> <br>Born in Pointe-du-Chene,NB she was a daughter of the late W. Garnett and Beatrice (Wareing) McFadden. <br> <br>Shirley worked at Scotsburn Dairy, Amherst for several years. She was a member of the Brookdale United Church as well as the Brookdale Sewing Circle. <br> <br>Shirley will be remembered by many for having devoted long hours into making crafts to host her annual Cystic Fibrosis Tea and Craft sale at the Brookdale Hall along with family and friends. <br> <br>She is survived by her beloved children, Joan (Bob) MacDonald, Tim (Valerie), Kathy (David) Linkletter, Robert (Diane) all of Amherst and Mark (Heather), Brookdale; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister, Lois Kinnear, Brookdale; brother, Jack (Audrey), Bracebridge ON; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. <br> <br> In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband, F. Crawford Kinnear in 2014; sister, Joan McFadden in infancy; brother, Bill McFadden. <br> <br> Cremation has taken place. <br> <br> A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. with funeral service on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lynda MacCulloch officiating all in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). Reception will follow in the Knights of Columbus Hall, Robie St, Amherst. <br> <br>Burial will take place in the Point de Bute Cemetery. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, All Saints Hospital Palliative Care or charity of your choice. <br> <br>Online condolences and sharing of memories may be forwarded via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page. <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
