<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jack Ronald Taylor age 77 of Fenwick announce his passing on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS. <br /> <br />Born in Malagash Mines, he was a son of the late Lewis Taylor and Viola (Stone) &ldquo;Taylor&rdquo; Smith. <br /> <br />In his younger years Jack was a woodman and later was employed as a Commissionaire. <br /> <br />Jack was an avid hunter and loved camping and the outdoors. He had a passion for hockey and was a loyal Montreal Fan all of his life and attended many Rambler games in Amherst. <br /> <br />Jack was a volunteer for several years for the Red Cross, Salvation Army and the local Search and Rescue Team and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #10 Amherst. <br /> <br />He will be sadly missed by his wife Edith (Goodwin) Taylor, his children Trudy Carter (Rob) of Oxford, Jackie (Melvin) Carter of Leicester, Crystal Gilroy of Fenwick, Michael (Sue) Taylor of Debert and Patrick Taylor of Halifax, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother Theodore of Amherst and several nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by a son Kenneth, sisters Lorraine Simpson, Doris Bishop, Thais Cameron and Karen Taylor as well as brothers Victor, Carville, Gerald, Tommy and Edgar. <br /> <br />Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Campbell&rsquo;s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS (902-667-9906) <br /> <br />Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Campbell&rsquo;s Chapel with Captains Chad and Kathleen Ingram officiating. <br /> <br />Interment will take place in the spring in the Mansfield Cemetery. <br /> <br />Memorial donations in Jack&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Salvation Army, Amherst. <br /> <br />Online condolences and sharing of memories may be made to the family via: www.campbellsamherst.ca <br /> <br /></div>
