<div itemprop="description">The peaceful passing of Terrance J. Arthurs age 74 of Amherst occurred on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, surrounded by his loving family. <br /> <br />Terrance was born, July 4th, 1940 in Fredericton Jct., NB, he was a son of the late Garnett W. and Flora E. (Shearer) Arthurs. <br /> <br />Terry spent his career in banking working for Bank of Commerce retiring in 1995 as branch manager after 36 years of dedicated service. <br /> <br />A faithful member of Trinity St. &ndash; Stephen&rsquo;s United Church, Amherst for over 24 years he served in the church council, past chairman, board of trustees, Investment committee as well as stewardship committee. <br /> <br />Terry was a Rotary club member and co chairman of Rotary Club TV Auction, Tantramar Investment club, chairman of Easter Seal Campaign, as well as chairman Men&rsquo;s Curling Club, member of the Christie Foundation. He was treasurer of the Amherst Golf Club. <br /> <br />In his spare time Terry enjoyed a game of golf, curling, watching sports on TV, tinkering around with various tasks and the card club. <br /> <br />The greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. <br /> <br />Terry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of forty nine years, Dorothy (Lisson); sons, Trevor (Cara), Truro and Richard (Jennifer), Calgary; grandchildren, Emma, Rachel, Lilly, Brendon and Loren; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. <br /> <br />In addition to his parents, Terry was predeceased by his only brother, Gerald W. <br /> <br />Funeral service to celebrate Terry&rsquo;s life will be held on Saturday, June 13th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity St. Stephen&rsquo;s United Church with Rev. Nigel Weaver officiating with reception to follow. <br /> <br /> In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Terry&rsquo;s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
