<div itemprop="description">The family of Th&eacute;r&egrave;se E Williams of Amherst sadly announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the age of 89. <br />Born in Moncton NB on April 1, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Philias and Celina (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. <br />Th&eacute;r&egrave;se is survived by her sons, Gregory (Mary) of Amherst, Alan of Halifax, Brian (Christine) of Toronto, grandchildren, Andrew (Holly), Susanne, Eric and Katrin, brother Dollard Le Blanc, sisters-in-law Rebecca LeBlanc, Madeleine Delaney, brother-in-law Robert (Mary) Williams and several nieces and nephews. <br />She was predeceased by her husband Alexander G Williams in 1992, brothers Alphonse, Rodolphe, Oswald, twin sister Yolande, sisters Marguerite, Dolores and Bernadette. <br />Th&eacute;r&egrave;se was involved in religious education for many years and was recipient of the Diocesan Medal. She was a member and past president of the Amherst Kinette Club, a 50 year member of the Catholic Women&rsquo;s League and for many years she was a member of the St Charles Senior Choir. Th&eacute;r&egrave;se worked at the Provincial Assessment Office in Amherst for 20 years, retiring in 1991. <br />Th&eacute;r&egrave;se enjoyed knitting and quilting, crosswords, reading and watching the news, but most of all, her great love was music, especially classical operatic music. <br />Special thanks to the staff of Amherst&rsquo;s Victorian Manor for the excellent and attentive care they gave Therese during her stay there. <br />Visitation will be held at Campbell&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906) on Friday from 7 to 9 pm, with parish prayers at 8:30. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, March 5 at 10:00 with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Burial will be in St Charles - Nativity Parish Cemetery at a later date. <br />In lieu of flowers, donations to St Vincent de Paul or charity of one&rsquo;s choice would be appreciated. <br />Online Condolences and sharing of memories may be forwarded to the family via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting our Facebook page. <br /></div>
