<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden death of William (Bill) A. Cameron age 84 on Monday January 23, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan surrounded by his loving family. <br> <br>Born in Bridgewater, NS he was a son of the late Dougald and Alice (Clark) Cameron. <br> <br>Bill began his career in 1951 with CNR and later Via Rail, retiring in 1990. <br> <br>Bill loved his family first and foremost. He loved hosting family get togethers; was an avid story teller; and, enjoyed staying on top of current events. Bill was also a creative problem solver, born from ingenuity and determination. <br> <br>Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Emily (Totten); sons, Bill Jr. (Rachel), Sackville, NB, David, Amherst; daughters, Cathy (John) Dale, Wellington, NS, Cindy (Tom) Bird, and Sandra Mason, both of Amherst; daughter in law, Vickie Cameron, Amherst; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Janet McKenna, Antigonish NS; brothers, Gerald (Gladys) Cameron, Miramichi NB and Father Charles Cameron of Antigonish NS; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. <br> <br>In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother, James; son in law, David Mason. <br> <br>Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. <br> <br>Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Charles Cameron officiating at Campbell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 98 Church St., Amherst (902) 667-9906. <br> <br>Interment will be held in the spring in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery. <br> <br>Family flowers only.
