<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carl John Balheim age 73 of Amherst on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his residence. <br> <br>Born in Hanover, ON, Carl was a son of the late Albert and Tena (Rossel) Balheim. <br> <br>He was an active member of The Living Church of God, where he would share announcements with the congregation. <br>Carl was a frequent patron of the Tim Horton’s drive thru with his best friend, Baxter. <br>He lived a very active lifestyle, pursing his passion of restoring old homes and always searching his weekly flyers for the best price. <br> <br>Carl will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Ken (Susan), Kitchener, ON, Richard (Meghan), Amherst, and Harvey, Guelph, ON; beloved grandchildren, Keiran, Willow and Victoria; his loving friend, Corynne Martin; brothers, Frederick, Norman; sisters, Marlene Curtis, and Shirley Boucher; his former wife, Rose O’Conner, Harriston, ON; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. <br> <br>A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Frank Best presiding from Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902) 667-9906 with a reception to follow in the Knights of Columbus hall. <br> <br>In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Carl’s memory may be made to the Living Church of God. <br> <br>Online condolences & sharing of memories can be forwarded via: www.campbellsamherst.ca or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page. <br> <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
